In partnership with SHIFTurn Collective, a 4 week, 8 session Workforce Readiness program is being offered through the month of September. Participants will experience mock interviews, resume creation, professional employment support, and more.
Next Steps is a drop-in reengagement and support program for youth and young adults ages 14–24 who may be feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps in education, career, or life planning. Hosted at the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the program offers a welcoming, low-barrier, and low-pressure environment where participants can ask questions, receive individualized support, and explore pathways forward.
Next Steps is led by the City of Frederick’s Reengagement Program Manager and serves as an early phase of the City’s broader youth reengagement efforts, supporting opportunity youth while laying the groundwork for the City’s planned youth center opening in 2028.
