R.L Stine is your Frederick Reads Author

Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL) is thrilled to announce that bestselling author R.L. Stine will be the speaker for the 20th Annual Frederick Reads event. This program is a collaborative effort between FCPL and the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

Robert Lawrence Stine, better known as R.L. Stine, is a prolific American author who is considered one of the most popular children's writers of all time. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1943, Stine is best known for his children's horror series, including Goosebumps and Fear Street. The series gave rise to a media franchise including two television shows, a video game series, comic books, and two feature films. Stine jokingly refers to himself as “Stephen King for kids.”

Mr. Stine will appear on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m. at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

This event is open to the public. Tickets are free but required, and can be obtained beginning Thursday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. at weinbergcenter.org, or by phone at 301-600-2828. This program is supported by The C. Burr Artz Trust and the Ausherman Family Foundation.
