People’s Insurance Counsel Division Info Session

The People’s Insurance Counsel Division (PICD) represents Maryland consumers’ interests regarding homeowners (HO) and medical professional liability (MPL) insurance issues. We review insurance company filings and consumer complaints ranging from premium increases to denials of claims to determine if there are insurance issues which need to be brought to the attention of the state legislature. We produce educational materials to assist consumers in understanding their insurance policies and conduct in-person outreach events to talk to individual consumers about issues they are facing.
