Suzanne Metheny Program Series: Bug Bonanza with Strawberry Hill Foundation

-

Join Strawberry Hill Foundation for a Bug Bonanza!  During Bug Bonanza, students learn all about insects and how to characterize insects from non-insects. Additionally, students will take an in-depth look at life cycles, how different insects feed, and how pollinators impact local farms and orchards.

Based in Fairfield, Pennsylvania, the Strawberry Hill Foundation has been inspiring stewardship of our natural world through programming and events since 1986. Their network of volunteers works to protect various wetlands in direct support of our own Monocacy River.

This program is part of the Suzanne Metheny Memorial Program Series. A long time staff member at the Thurmont Regional Library, Suzanne passed away in September 2025. This Memorial Series was established by her family and friends to celebrate Suzanne's love of curiosity, learning, and community connection.
