Frederick County Public Libraries' Memory Lab features analog-to-digital conversion equipment and video editing software. This mobile lab enables patrons to digitize family memories, record family histories, and remix them into a personal narrative. Formats that can be digitized in the Maryland Room memory lab:  audio compact cassette, photographs of all sizes (including capability to scan complete scrapbooks), slides, negatives, VHS, VHS-C, mini-DV, DV, 8MM, and Super 8 formats.

Share your stories

Frederick County Public Libraries also seeks residents who are interested in sharing their stories in filmed oral history interviews which will be collected by FCPL’s Maryland Room and made accessible via Digital Maryland.
