The 2026 Frederick County Spelling Bee will be held at Hood College in the Hodson Auditorium on March 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. The winner of the 2026 Frederick County Spelling Bee will continue their quest for spelling glory at the nationally televised Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May 2026.
How to Participate
Between now and January 30, 2026, your public or private school or home school co-op can register with Scripps to become eligible to participate in the 2026 Frederick County Spelling Bee.
Wondering if you’re eligible to participate? The Spelling Bee is open to all students in eighth grade or lower who have not turned 15 before August 31, 2025.
