Join us to explore a fascinating and often overlooked chapter of Maryland history with our speaker Tracy Lewis.

Tracy is an adjunct professor of Early American History at Frederick Community College and Hagerstown Community College. She has taught for the Frederick Community College Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) continuing education program for six years. She is also writing a book on the War of 1812 in Maryland.

Tracy's research interests are colonial and early American history with a focus on Maryland and Virginia. She likes to study and teach topics that aren't often talked about, like the French and Indian War and War of 1812. Beginning October 30th she'll be teaching a class at FCC called "Pirates in the Chesapeake Bay".
