Children's Services Supervisor II

Exempt; full-time; 40 hours per week (varied workdays and hours within the FCPL operating schedule); full benefits; position is subject to system-wide reassignment

NOTE: Above base salary pay will be considered on a case by case basis and will be determined based upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.

This professional management position is located at the C. Burr Artz Public Library. This position assures that children, their families, and caregivers experience the joy of reading in a friendly, creative, and dynamic Children's Department. Supervision is given to professional and paraprofessional Children's Services staff; supervision is received from the Branch Administrator.

Library Technician (part-time)

Non-exempt; part-time; 18 hours per week; scheduled to work days, evenings and weekends during FCPL operating schedule; no-benefits with exception to enrollment in the Maryland State Teacher's Pension Plan and Employee Sick and Safe Leave; subject to system-wide reassignment

2 Vacancies Available: 

  • Northern County Libraries: Emmitsburg and Thurmont Branch Libraries – 18 hours per week assigned to this location
  • Substitute – 18 hours per week, duties and work locations may vary from week to week in support of FCPL facilities and services. Assignment may occasionally be at one location for an extended period of time.

This para-professional position provides comprehensive library services to patrons and is involved with a wide variety of library activities and operations. Supervision is received from the Assistant Branch Administrator or Branch Administrator.
