Be inspired @ The Library. Visit our Delaplaine Visual Arts Satellite Gallery through May to enjoy an exhibit featuring the work of the artist Jing-Jy Chen. Born in Taiwan, Jing-Jy Chen received her a BA in Chinese literature from Taiwan Normal University and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Rochester. She started Chinese painting during her college years. She exquisitely portrays images of wildlife and nature through her delicate watercolor technique and keeps with Chinese tradition by using written characters and red signatures. Her work has a graceful fluidity and the refined but fragile beauty and mystical quality of her renderings invites viewers into the story and presents them with new vistas. Visit www.delaplaine.org for more information about classes and activities at the Delaplaine!
