The Frederick Reads theme for 2013 - Food for Thought - launched in February with the three-term Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, who shared a feast of his favorite poems related to food and beverage.
In April, Frederick Reads welcomes pioneering urban farmer Will Allen, author of The Good Food Revolution: Growing Healthy Food, People and Communities. Already hailed as an eco-classic, The Good Food Revolution tells the fascinating story of Allen’s personal journey, the lives he has touched, and an incredible grassroots movement that is changing the way our nation eats. Allen will be in Frederick for a one-day series of appearances and book signings, reaching diverse audiences of all ages.
