Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child’s development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months. Registration is available two weeks before the monthly program series begins.

Friday Morning Movie: LEGO Star Wars & LEGO Bricks

Extreme Hula Hoop Fun with Soolah Hoops!

Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping! Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided! Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated!

How To Use Your Marbles!

The a-MAZE-ing Marble Run!

We're making our own homemade marble run tracks out of masking tape and cardboard recyclables! Design, build and test your own unique track design and then watch those marbles fly! A great hands-on way to start thinking about the basics of physics. For kids grades 1-5 with an adult. Extra cardboard tubes / recyclables welcome.

Read to a New Dog Friend - Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy pet! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program improves children's reading and communication skills by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog or cat. But not just any dog or cat. R.E.A.D. pets are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children. Poketown Gym! – A Pokemon Trading Card League for all ages!

The Poketown Gym, Frederick County's official Pokemon League, provides a place for you to get together with other fans of Pokemon to have some fun. Using your own cards, you can play, trade, and earn cool prizes, all for free!

Even if you are just a beginner, at league you can learn all the rules of the game. Don’t have any Pokemon cards? No worries, we'll have some starter decks on hand to get you going! Joining a league is the best way to hone your skills to compete in bigger Pokemon tournaments where players win great prizes like cards, medals, and even scholarships!
