Frederick County Public Libraries is pleased to announce that the library will be receiving four 3D Cube Printers from 3D Systems in partnership with the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). FCPL is one of only three Maryland library systems to win this award.
Irish American Heritage Month was signed into law two years ago by Governor Martin O’Malley to celebrate the diversity of Maryland’s culture and to recognize the contributions that Irish Americans made to Maryland.

Keep the St. Patrick's Day celebration going with The ShamRogues at our annual Celtic Concert! The ShamRogues have been entertaining crowds on the East Coast since 2009 and have been dubbed "The best Irish band to EVER play in Baltimore."
The ShamRogues will perform at the 2015 Celtic Concert on Thursday, March 19th, at 7:00pm at the Marion Burk Knott Auditorium at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD.
Frederick County Public Libraries is pleased to announce that beginning on Monday, January 26th, the C. Burr Artz Public Library, Thurmont Regional Library, and Urbana Regional Library will begin the transition to new Bibliotheca SmartDispenser DVD check-out systems. The new Bibliotheca kiosks will be replacing the existing Lock-A-Shelf systems currently used to check out DVDs at these locations.
The United Way of Frederick County, the Housing Authority of the City of Frederick, and the Frederick County Financial Literacy Council have partnered together for the 2015 tax season to provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to qualified individuals and families in Frederick County.

The Urbana Regional Library is pleased to announce the Urbana Library Children's Writing & Art Contest. To participate, children in K - 8th grades are invited to visit the Urbana Library from October 1st to October 31st to obtain an entry form. Completed entry forms and submissions must be returned to the Children's Desk at the Urbana Library no later than October 31st.
