Learn to Play Magic The Gathering with Comics to Astonish!

Join the experts from Comics to Astonish in Mt Airy to learn to play Magic the Gathering. In this three-program series, participants can practice playing on July 1 and 22 (if you have cards, feel free to bring them but they're not required to participate). On July 29, everyone can enjoy a Magic the Gathering tournament (your own cards required). This is a program for middle and high school aged students.

Wee Little Firefighter Academy

Get ready to have some serious fun about fire safety! Listen to an action packed story about a firefighter and then enjoy a visit from REAL firefighters from the Urbana Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department who will demonstrate their equipment and talk about fighting fires! Participants will end their heroic training exploring a fire engine. Ages 2-6.

Soolah Hoops

Thursday, August 6, 2015 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping. Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided. Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated. Best for ages K-8

Radio WOOF!

Radio WOOF is a celebration! Bill Wellington brings lively banjo music, funny folk songs, fancy fiddling, and fantastic storytelling. He enthusiastically shares his message that folklore, whether in the form of a familiar jump-rope-rhyme or a spellbinding story from another land, is a marvelous treasure we have inherited.
Best for ages 4 and up
