Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.

: Park Rangers from Cunningham Falls State park bring this special program out of the park and into the library! Take the first steps toward earning your Maryland State Parks Junior Rangers badge by attending Junior Ranger sessions at the library. After completing all 3 sessions, attend 2 more programs at the park to earn your badge. Cant make it to the library sessions? Cunningham Falls offers sessions all summer long for kids to earn their badge (park entrance fee required).
