FCPL teams up with Westview Promenade to kick off summer reading. Mark your calendars for free, fantastic fun! No need to sign up - just drop by the courtyard in front of Regal Cinemas for a free concert by Mr. Jon & Friends, crafts, and your favorite costumed character. Don't forget your camera!

Transition to Twos

Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child’s development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months.

Symphony Storytime with Frederick Symphony Orchestra!

Monday, May 12, 2014 - 6:30pm to 7:00pm
Children and their parents experience a live musical collaboration between the library reader and a Frederick Symphony Orchestra musician during this 30 minute storytime! Musicians play short selections, talk a little about their instrument, answer questions, and, after the stories are read aloud, audience members can take a closer peek at an instrument petting zoo provided by the music specialty store Music & Arts! This program is best appreciated by children ages 2-6 and their caregivers, but is open to all ages.
