Teen Coding Club

Want to design your own mobile app for Android? Learn how in this four-part program! Using the MIT App Inventor website, you'll learn all the steps in creating an Android app that you can then share with your friends and family.

Registration is required and extremely limited for this program series. Must be thirteen and up, in order to register for the App Inventor website. Homework may be assigned and participants must be able to attend all four programs. Refreshments will be served.

Babies With Books: Birth to Twenty-Four Months

Learning to read begins BEFORE your child starts school - as a matter of fact, it begins at birth! Delight and stimulate your baby with songs, a story and activities. Get to know other families an help your baby develop listening and language skills. Tickets will be available on the day of the program for the first 15 parent/child pairs. This program is limited, so come early for your ticket.

Learn what happens after your materials are picked up at the curb, see what they get made into and find out why everything can’t be recycled. Bring items from home to have your recycling questions answered by Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management. (Registration required.)
