Teen Program

Teens and tweens! Come learn how to knit or share your knitting know-how at the library in this special Saturday edition of Knit Wits!

Knit Wits! is Walkersville's newest Crafternoon activity and is open to knitters, crocheters, and crafters of all ages. We'd love to have children and teens and their parents, aunts, grandmothers, and friends join us to learn this lovely craft and share their projects, knowledge, enthusiasm, and creativity.

The Teen Book Club meets on the third Thursday of every month to discuss and share books. Each month we pick a different theme to guide our reading and discussion.

Some themes we've discussed in the past include dystopias, Egyptian mythology, fantasy books, historical fiction, and award winners.

For this month's theme or for more information about the book club please contact us at the Walkersville Library. We'd love to have you join us!

Refreshments may be served. The Teen Book Club is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall.

Come join us on the second Thursday of each month for our Teen Crafternoon.

In June we'll be making dream catchers using a variety of art and craft supplies. Come ready to get creative and leave with your brand-new one-of-a-kind dream catcher! All supplies provided.

Refreshments may be served. This Teen Crafternoon activity is open to teens and tweens entering grades 5 through 12 in the fall.

Make and take 4 sea glass projects to give or keep: sea glass bookmark, necklace, cell phone charm, and pierced earrings. All materials supplied.

Join this group if you'd like to help out at the library with displays, children's activities and planning events. A great way to volunteer!
