In the early 1980's scientists at Texas A&M University developed a virus-based system to produce recombinant proteins using cells from the Fall Army Worm. The system has grown over the past decades to become one of the most powerful tools used in the development of new drugs and vaccines today. Explore the world of recombinant DNA technology and how it is used to create and produce vaccines that protect us against disease with Chris Kemp, President of Kempbio, Inc.

Registration is required and extremely limited for this program series. Must be thirteen and up, in order to register for the App Inventor website. Homework may be assigned and participants must be able to attend all four programs. Refreshments will be served.
