Starlight Family Storytime

Bring the whole family for an evening of storytime fun. We’ll read, move, and rhyme with a different theme each week. Nurture a love of reading through books, music, activities, and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) elements. Almost bedtime? Feel free to wear your pajamas!

First Friday Fun Fest at Westview Promenade with Keyote!

Frederick County Public Libraries teams up with Westview Promenade for Free, Fantastic Summer Fun every First Friday. Just drop by for a variety of story time, music, games, and crafts. Each month features a special theme and unique activities. Best for ages 2-6 with an adult.

Let's Compost! A composting workshop for families

Monday, June 24, 2013 - 3:30pm to 4:00pm
Join Annmarie Creamer from Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management for a hands-on composting workshop for kids and their families. For ages 5 & up with an adult, registration required.

Catriona's Castle

Date: 
Thursday, July 18, 2013 - 3:00pm to 3:45pm
Catriona, the Fairy Godmother, conducts a 45 minute program of Peter Pan. Thirty randomly selected children can be costumed to act out the story with the help of audience participation as the Fairy Godmother tells the story and whispers things for the children to say and do. Best for ages 2-12 with an adult.
