Art Zone: Design Your Own Superhero

Friday, June 5, 2015 - 4:00pm to 4:30pm
Every superhero has a story. In this beginning drawing class each participant will use their creativity to design their very own superhero. Participants will choose from several different designs and drawing techniques to create their superhero. All tools and materials will be provided. No previous drawing experience is necessary.

Every comic needs a hero. Do you love drawing and have story to tell? In this class we will learn about drawing comics. Participants will design their very own comic strip illustrating their hero’s story. All tools and materials will be provided. No previous drawing experience is necessary.

Little House Adventures

Join us for an afternoon adventure with Laura and Almanzo from The Little House books. Enjoy learning about pioneer life and participate in hands-on activities related to these classic stories. Registration Required. Ages 3-5 with an adult

R.E.A.D. ® with Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.

*Allergy Alert! The dogs and cats are live animals.*


WAGS for Hope comes to the Thurmont Library on the 4th Saturday of every month at 11am.
