Word Play: A Monthly Writing Workshop

Age Group: 
Join us every month for an inclusive writing workshop where participants will have an opportunity to share their work and refine their writing. The event is open to all but is specifically geared for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The workshop takes place at Wegmans at 6pm. Meet us from 5.45pm at the cafe inside the main entrance.

Computer Basics - Summer Series

Three-session series with Computer Volunteer Mike Mathis. Sessions will feature computer labs to learn specific basic computer functions with step-by-step instructions. Includes information about using personal or library computers. There will be opportunities to ask questions. Attendance at all three sessions strongly encouraged. Summer Session Dates are 6/3; 7/1; 8/5

Introduction to Corporate Giving

Join the Foundation Center and the FCPL Grantseeker's Resource Center for an introduction to the world of corporate support for nonprofits and to the effective utilization of the Foundation Center's resources on corporate giving. We'll answer such questions as:
•What are the motivations behind corporate giving?
•How do companies support nonprofit organizations?
•How can I match my organization's needs with the interests of a corporation?
•How can I make the most effective use of Foundation Center resources to locate corporate funders?

Introduction to Proposal Writing

Offered by the Funding Information Network (FIN), this one hour class will introduce you to the basics of proposal writing, including:
•How the proposal fits into the overall grantseeking process
•What to include in a standard proposal to a foundation
•Tips for making each section of your proposal stronger
•Additional resources on proposal writing, including sample proposals
