FCPL Teen Zone always has Reference staff available, and is occasionally staffed by a professional Youth Services librarian specializing in working with teens, parents, caregivers, teachers, and school library media specialists, providing a variety of teen oriented programs and services.

Ask Us Now - AskUsNow! is a 24/7 live online interactive service. It uses the expertise of librarians to provide answers to questions, research guidance, and help navigating the Internet. The librarian should be able to take you to various websites and will communicate with you using Internet chat. A normal session lasts no longer than 15-20 minutes. The librarian may offer to follow-up by e-mail if your question cannot be answered online.

Robin loves reading, especially mysteries and funny stories. She also loves talking about books. Some of her favorite authors are Jane Austen, Elizabeth Peters, and Garth Nix.

Melissa can often be found with her nose in a book. She likes reading almost everything (not a big fan of horror) but she really loves historical fiction and realistic fiction.

Thurmont Regional Library

The most popular program at Thurmont Library continues to be the Anime Club. Clare has hosted this event for teens once a month for six years.

Ms. Mary Ann just loves working with teens & tweens at the Urbana Regional Library. She has been the Teen Services specialist since the library opened in 2006.
