Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.
*Allergy Alert! The dogs and cats are live animals.*
WAGS for Hope comes to the Thurmont Library on the 4th Saturday of every month at 11am.
Come in to spend some time playing Minecraft! Minecraft books will also be featured. Please note that patrons may be asked to limit time on the Minecraft commuters so that all may have a chance to play. If you wish, you can also bring your own device that you already play Minecraft on. Ages 6-12.
Play priority will be given to those who register for the program ahead of time.
