Community Services Coordinator

Salary: $53,604.00 Annually

Exempt; Full time; 40 hours per week (varied schedule during library operating hours); full benefits; subject to system-wide reassignment
 
This professional position coordinates and oversees Community Services to Adults, staff providing Adult Services system-wide, community-wide events, programs, partnerships, and outreach activities, and represents FCPL on local, state and national organizations that address issues concerning adults. Supervision is received from the Library Director

 Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee system-wide development, planning and implementation of traditional, virtual and cutting edge events, programs, activities and partnership activities for adults
  • Develop and establish policy, procedure and guidelines for provision of community, partnership and outreach events and activities for adults
  • Develop annual system-wide goals for Adult Services deliverables.
  • Establish quality control measures, set standards and evaluate quality of programs and service
  • Work with Learning Coordinator to ensure Adult Services staff are properly trained to meet performance expectations
  • Oversee community wide Adult Services outreach activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee system-wide Community Services project teams
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and partnerships with community organizations and corporate/business entities.
  • Represent FCPL on local, state and national organizations
  • Oversee budget allocation for Community Services and make budgetary recommendations
  • Perform other duties as required

  • 1 part-time vacancy at Urbana Regional Library- Non-exempt; part-time; 17 hour per week;primarily assigned to cover Saturday/Sunday hours, weekday evening hours and some daytime hours during FCPL operating schedule; no benefits except for participation in the Maryland State Teacher's Pension and Retirement system
  • 2 part-time vacancies at C. NOTE: All positions are subject to system-wide reassignment

This clerical position performs responsible duties related to all operations of an FCPL circulation desk and the automated circulation system.  A significant amount of public contact is involved; therefore courteous, proficient customer relations skills are vital.  Direction may be received from the Senior Circulation Clerk; supervision is received from the Circulation Supervisor and/or Branch Administrator.

Library Associate I

Salary: $18.26 Hourly / $37,980.80 Annually
Job Type: Part Time

Exempt; part-time; 17 hours per week; no benefits except for participation in the Maryland State Teacher's Pension and Retirement system; position subject to system-wide reassignment

2 vacancies available -

  • 1 position is primarily assigned to cover Saturday/Sunday hours and workday evenings at the Urbana Regional Library
  • 1 position (Substitute) is assigned to work a varied work schedule and varied work locations in support of FCPL facilities and services

This para-professional position provides comprehensive library services to patrons and is involved with a wide variety of library activities and operations.  Duties and work locations may vary in support of FCPL facilities and services.  Position subject to system-wide reassignment. Supervision is received from the Branch Administrator, Assistant Branch Mananger and/or Substitute Supervisor.
