Librarian I - Children's Services

Exempt; full-time; 40 hours per week (varied days and hours including evenings and weekends during FCPL regular operating schedule); full benefits; position subject to system-wide reassignment.

Position is located at the C. Burr Artz Public Library.

This professional position assists in managing Children's Services, provides direct library service to the general public, with emphasis on children aged birth to 5th grade, their caregivers and families.  Supervision may be given to volunteers; direction may be given to department staff.  Supervision is received from the Branch Manager or the Supervisor, Children's Services.  In the branch setting, this person will serve as the “Librarian-in-Charge”.

Associate Director - Public Service and Staff Development

This professional managerial and supervisory position is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of operations for Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL). This position oversees Public Service and Branch Operations.  The position assists and advises the Director in budget planning, long range and strategic planning and policy recommendations. Supervision is given to professional and other support staff; supervision is received from the Library Director.

This position is being advertised with a hiring range of $43,667-$52,200 per year.  Discussion of being paid above the base salary may take place at the time of job offer and is not guaranteed.

Exempt, full-time, 40 hours per week; varied workdays and hours during FCPL operating schedule; full benefits. Position is subject to system-wide reassignment.

This professional and technical position provides comprehensive services for FCPL’s web environment. The position assists the Virtual Branch Manager with development, organization, content and maintenance of FCPL Web environment, including public and staff Web services. Supervision is received from the Virtual Branch Administrator.
